Caprese Pasta Salad with Cherry Tomatoes and Mozzarella Balls

The perfect dish for Spring and Summer, this fresh Caprese pasta salad recipe is quick and easy to make. With just a few ingredients, you can serve a fresh, healthy and tasty vegetarian dish for lunch and dinner.

Ingredients (4 Servings)

  • 500 grams / 17 ounces Farfalle pasta (also known as bow-tie or butterfly pasta)
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cups cherry mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Himalayan pink salt for pasta water and seasoning
  • Ground black pepper for seasoning


  1. Boil a large pot of water, once boiling add salt and pasta.
  2. Under cook your pasta in boiling water by 2 minutes less than recommended cooking time on the packaging for a perfect "al dente" pasta. Once pasta is cooked strain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Slice cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese balls in half and chop basil leaves.
  4. Add pasta and the rest of the ingredients to a large serving bowl.
  5. Season with a generous amount of extra virgin olive oil and desired amount of salt and black pepper.
